Ambu BlueSensor SP is a single-use ECG electrode designed for stress testing and short-term cardiac monitoring. Featuring conductive wet gel, an offset connector, and a 4 mm press-stud/snap button connection, it delivers stable ECG signal quality with gentle skin adhesion and reliable signal performance.

The Ambu BlueSensor SP is a professional-grade disposable ECG electrode developed for stress testing and short-term cardiac monitoring applications. Designed with Ambu’s proven offset connector technology, the electrode minimizes artefacts caused by lead wire movement and external pressure, helping clinicians maintain consistent ECG trace quality during demanding monitoring procedures.

The electrode incorporates a highly conductive wet gel system that immediately lowers skin impedance and optimizes electrical contact between the patient’s skin and the electrode sensor. Combined with the silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) sensor, the BlueSensor SP ensures accurate and stable ECG signal transmission for diagnostic and monitoring applications.

Its foam backing and skin-friendly acrylate adhesive provide secure fixation while remaining gentle on the skin, making the electrode suitable for up to 24 hours of application in hospital, clinic, and pre-hospital environments.

The Ambu BlueSensor SP is specifically intended for adult patients and is commonly used during stress tests, short-term ECG procedures, and cardiac rhythm monitoring where dependable signal quality and patient comfort are essential.

It comes pre-assembled with a 4mm press-stud/snap button connection, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of ECG monitoring systems and lead wires.

Ambu® BlueSensor SP come packaged in 50 electrodes per pack and 20 packs (1,000 electrodes) per box.

Application Note

Before application, ensure the skin is clean, dry, and free from oils or excessive hair. For adult subjects, excessive hair may be clipped if necessary to improve adhesion and signal quality.

Remove the electrode carefully from the release liner and apply to the designated monitoring area using gentle circular pressure around the adhesive edge to ensure secure fixation. Connect the ECG lead wire to the 4mm press-stud/snap button connector while avoiding unnecessary pressure on the sensor area.

The electrode is intended for single-patient use only and should be replaced if adhesion decreases or after the recommended application duration. Do not use during MRI procedures, as the BlueSensor SP is not MR conditional/compatible.
