The Bipolar Felt Pad Bar Electrode with Dual 4mm Touch-proof (TP) Banana Yoke Connector is a complete electrode system designed for precise, stable, and comfortable electrical stimulation in EMG, evoked potentials (EP), and nerve conduction studies (NCS).

Unlike dry metal-contact electrodes, this system relies entirely on felt pads as the stimulation interface. When moistened with a conductive saline solution or gel, the felt pads provide uniform current distribution, improved skin contact, and reduced impedance, supporting clean and reproducible stimulation.

The set includes a blue bipolar bar electrode, T-Handle bar, and felt pads, allowing the researcher to finely adjust pressure and positioning on the subject's skin. The T-Handle bar clips and holds the bar securely in place and maintains consistent contact during stimulation, enhancing both patient comfort and test reproducibility.

It comes with a 150cm connection cable which terminates in a moulded yoke with dual 4mm banana connectors compatible with different electrical stimulators including Digitimer electrical stimulators. The special moulded connector with two 4mm banana connectors ensures firm and stable connection. The durable blue housing and ergonomic T-shaped bar handle provide smooth handling and reliable performance in routine stimulation workflows.

Application Note

The Bipolar Bar Electrode with moulded Dual 4mm TP Banana Connectors is intended for use as a felt pad electrode system. Before each procedure, the felt pads must be moistened with an appropriate conductive solution or gel to:

• Improve skin contact
• Lower impedance
• Ensure even current distribution across the stimulation area

Position the bar electrode using the fork holder and inflation bulb assembly to achieve secure, repeatable placement and consistent contact pressure.

After use, remove and clean or replace the felt pads according to your facility’s procedures, and ensure all components are thoroughly dried before storage to maintain long-term performance.
