Electro-Caps are an EEG electrode application technique. They are made of an elastic spandex-type fabric with recessed, pure tin electrodes attached to the fabric. The electrodes on the standard caps are positioned to the International 10-20 method of electrode placement. The medium Electro-Cap will fit approximately 65% of all patients over the age of 5. The small cap will fit primarily children from the ages of 2 to 5 years. The extra small cap will fit most children from 9 months to 2 years of age. Sizes in age are approximate; the patient should always be measured to determine proper cap size.
Infa-Caps are similar to the regular Electro-Caps. These caps will fit newborn infants to babies about the ages of 9 to 12 months. Infa-Cap I has International 10-20 electrode placements. Standard Infa-Caps II and III have abbreviated electrode placements consisting of F1, F2, C3, C4, 01,02, T3, T4, Cz and ground. Infa-Cap III can be used for recording premature babies by using E6 Disposable Sponge Disks on all of the electrodes.
Special caps, with 32 Ag/Ag Chlorided electrodes, have been built for research and clinical applications requiring 32 channels and according to 10-20 layout. Special caps are produced with electrodes made of either tin or silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl). Cap comes with flat ribbon cable and 37 pin connector.
The ECI Special Form/Surgical Form Cap is a strapless Electro-Cap designed to be used for different EEG purposes. The cap can be ordered as either standard surgical (no ear slits, no chin straps) or extended to cover also the neck. It fits the head securely, thereby eliminating the need for chin straps or a body harness. Cap does not come with electrodes or dotted for any electrode holder placements. Cap can be ordered in any different size, please specify when ordering.

Used as an alternative to the E3 Body Harness for situations such as ICU and ER. Effective with combative patients and those who feel restrained by the Body Harness. Straps secure the cap by fastening under the patient's chin with Velcro®. It is recommended that E24 Chin Strap Pads be used with the Chin Straps.
1 Strap per pack. Available in two different sizes.
BODY HARNESS - 44" - 52"
BODY HARNESS - 30" - 44"
BODY HARNESS - 21" - 30"
An adjustable elastic band that fastens around the patient's chest with Velcro. Cap straps attach the cap to the body harness. Proper use of the body harness will hold the cap securely in place reducing the possibility of movement artifact and high impedances.
