NUPREP Skin Prep Gel, 114g / 4oz tubes made by Weaver and Company in the USA. 3 tubes per pack - excellent for EEG, Sleep Diagnostics (PSG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Audiology and Biofeedback applications.
NUPREP Skin Prep Gel (114g Tube) is made by Weaver and Company in the USA. NUPREP Skin Prep Gel is a highly effective prep gel that helps improve signal quality ensuring low impedances during your EEG, EMG or other biosignal acquisition applications.
NUPREP Skin Prep Gel gently abrades and moistens the top layer of skin. This lowers the skin impedance with minimal skin irritation and patient discomfort. Its mild abrasive formula improves conductivity and achieves maximum efficiency with your EEG and other biosignal recording equipment. Most effective for EEG, EMG, ECG, EP, Audiology, Holter monitoring, sleep (PSG), evoked potentials (EP) and stress applications.
Do NOT over-abrade the skin. Not to be used on patients with a history of skin allergies to cosmetics and lotions.
One tube contains 114g / 4oz of TEN20 paste, 3 tubes per pack.

Application
NUPREP Skin Prep Gel is suitable for EEG, EMG, ECG, EP, Audiology, Holter monitoring, sleep (PSG), evoked potentials (EP) and stress applications.
Application Procedure
- Place the amount of gel needed on a surface such as a gauze pad.
- Gently abrade the skin by placing a small amount of Nuprep onto a cotton swab and then lightly rub onto the skin with 4 to 5 circular motions.
- Remove any excess Nuprep and then apply electrodes to the prepared sites. Apply conductive gel where needed.
Application Notes
- Avoid eye contact. If Nuprep is introduced in the eye, rinse with warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. Avoid
rubbing the eyes. - Use topically on intact skin only. Do not use on or near open wounds or compromised skin.
- Use additional caution on patients with a history of skin allergies or sensitivity to cosmetics and lotions. If rash, redness, itch, swelling, or abnormality appears on the skin, wash off immediately.
- Patients' tolerance for topical products varies widely. Some patients poorly tolerate adhesives, abrasives, conductive media, and salts. Respond to any complaint that may signal product intolerance.
- Instruct patients to communicate any persistent redness, soreness or swelling at the electrode site. Topical infections can leave permanent scars if left untreated.
- Long-term electrode sites must be checked for irritation and redness at least daily by removing the electrode and evaluating the skin condition under the electrode.
