Plethysmography clip sensor suitable for fleshy areas such as the earlobe. The sensor is an infrared photoelectric sensor and measures oxygenation changes in the blood. Connects to any system with a DIN 4-pole connector, such as the BioSemi ActiveTwo EEG system.

The ear clip uses infrared light transmitted through the tissue and works best on fleshy areas such as the earlobe. The amplitude of the signal depends primarily on the volume of blood in the capillary bed directly beneath the sensor, so it may be necessary to move the sensor around to find the best signal.

Ambient light may affect the output: if it does, a covering of black, opaque material over the sensor and location should remove such interference.

Please note: We configure your ActiveTwo EEG and install the PLETH module here in our office. Should the ActiveTwo have an existing GSR module installed, we can replace the GSR module with a combo GSR/PLETH module and include a GSR/PLETH splitter cable.
