This Silicone Soft Tip Finger Probe Small (SpO2 Oximeter) is a precision-engineered reusable sensor designed for accurate measurement of oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate in subjects with smaller finger or toe sizes.
The probe tip is made of soft silicone and fits small finger/toe size. Sensor recommendations are based on digit height (thickness):
- Digit height 7.5 - 12.5 mm (0.3 - 0.5 inch): select Small
- Digit height 10.0 - 19.0 mm (0.4 - 0.75 inch): select Medium
- Digit height between 12.5 - 25.5 mm (0.5 - 1.0 inch): select Large

Application Note
Select the small probe size for subjects with a finger height between 7.5 mm and 12.5 mm. Ensure proper placement so the emitter and detector are aligned directly opposite each other.
Connect the probe to a compatible pulse oximeter system validated for silicone soft-tip sensors. Verify signal quality before clinical use. Regularly inspect the sensor site during prolonged monitoring and clean according to infection control protocols after each use.
Attaching the SpO2 Sensor
- Insert the selected digit (refer to the sizing recommendations above) into the SpO2 probe. The subject’s digit must reach the end of the sensor.
- Direct the cable along the subject’s finger/toe, parallel to the arm/leg. (Optional: Secure the sensor cable as needed.)
- Connect the sensor cable to the pulse oximeter or physiology measurement device.
- Verify proper operation as described in the pulse oximeter operator’s manual.
