Details

This blue handheld Bipolar Stimulator (large) is a shielded electrical stimulator and comes with an ergonomic grip for easy handling. It is equipped with two (pluggable) stimulation pins at a distance of 25mm from each other. Use either felt pads or pluggable steel balls for stimulation. We recommend fixating the stimulator with the help of a velcro strap to the subject's arm. The bipolar stimulator comes assembled to a 150cm long connection cable. The connection cable terminates to either two 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) DIN sockets or a DIN 5-pol 270° connector (please select).

Suitable for all kinds of electrical stimulation applications including EP (evoked potentials), EMG and NCS.

Application Note

Instructions for use:

Soak the felt pads in a saline solution and allow the felt pads to absorb the saline water. Then squeeze the pads for a complete wetting and connect them to the bipolar stimulation electrode. Steel balls can be used with some bipolar stimulation electrodes instead. When using steel balls, apply conductive gel to the stimulation site to improve the conductivity.
Clean the patient's skin with a damp cotton ball.
Place the bipolar stimulation electrode in the desired location.
Connect the bipolar stimulation electrode to the EMG/NCS/EP equipment for stimulation or recording.
Dispose felt pads after use.

Cleaning: Clean the bipolar stimulation electrode after each use with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse in a cleaning solution. Do not use automatic cleaning tools.

Disinfection: we recommend disinfecting the bipolar stimulation electrodes with alcohol.
