Isotonic GSR/EDA Electrolyte Gel (100g)
Isotonic GSR/EDA Electrolyte Gel. Non-drip, non-staining, water-soluble electrolyte gel with 0.5% salinity to record GSR or EDA. Available in a tube of 100g, shelf life is 36 months.
This Isotonic Edalyt GSR/EDA Electrolyte Gel is a non-drip, non-staining, water-soluble electrolyte gel with 0.5% salinity to record GSR (galvanic skin response) or EDA (electrodermal activity). The Isotonic Electrolyte Gel is available in a tube of 100g.
Prior to its first use, you should cut off the tip of the nozzle. After that, always cap the bottle to prevent the gel from drying out. The gel has a shelf life is 36 months and may be disposed of without any specific requirements.
For optimal signal quality, make sure the subject has warm hands - cold or sweaty hands can have a negative impact on the results. Waiting around 5 minutes allows the gel to create a good connection between the electrode and the skin.
Important Note: For electrodermal activity (EDA/GSR) studies it is important to use isotonic gel with a similar (isotonic) chloride salt content as the skin surface. Other gels, pastes and creams will potentially hypersaturate or hyposaturate the eccrine glands. For dried out electrodes, use GEL101 (see related products below).
