MRI-Compatible and CT-Compatible Cup Electrode Kit for EEG and other biosignal data recordings. Cup electrodes are made of Ag/AgCl and are 10mm in diameter. 250cm long connection cable terminating in DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) sockets. Different configurations are available.

This cup electrode kit contains cup electrodes made of Ag/AgCl material which can be used in an MRI- and CT-environment. They have been tested and are compliant for MR imaging at 1.5T and 3T. They are suitable for EEG, EP and other biosignal data recordings (e.g., EMG).

The cup electrodes themselves have a diameter of 10mm and a small hole on the back of the electrode for injecting conductive gel. The connection cables are colour-coded for easy identification inside the MRI room and in the control room. The connection cables are divided into two sections. The cables connected to the cup electrodes are MR-compatible, measure 25cm and are to be used inside the MRI room. The other connections cables measure 225cm, terminate in DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) sockets (female connector) and are to be used inside the control room. These cables are not MRI-compatible!

Both sections come with a special coupler for feeding the MRI-compatible cup electrodes through the MR patch panel.

These MRI-compatible cup electrodes are available in different configurations with either 21, 23, 25, or 27 cup electrodes.

One pack contains a complete MRI-Compatible Cup Electrode Kit.

Application Note

The MR/CT Connection Cable must be disconnected from the electrodes before scanning and must remain disconnected throughout the entire MR/CT scan. EEG or EP should not be recorded during MRI or CT scans. Color-coded connectors enable quick disconnection and reconnection of the electrodes, eliminating the need to completely remove electrodes from the patient's skin when the patient goes in for an MRI or CT scan. These electrodes must be used with their dedicated connection cable, which is included.
