Plethysmography (PLETH) Clip Sensor suitable for clipping to the finger (ear clip on special request) to measure oxygenation changes in the blood. Connects to the 6-pin touch-proof (TP) socket on the ActiveThree EEG system from BioSemi.

The PLETH Clip Sensor is specifically designed for use with the ActiveThree EEG system from BioSemi B.V. This Plethysmography sensor utilizes an infrared photoelectric sensor to measure changes in blood oxygenation. This Plethysmography (PLETH) Clip sensor is best attached to fleshy areas such as on fingers (ear clips can be ordered on special request).

PLETH Clip Sensor comes with a 150 cm connection cable and terminates in a 6-pin touch-proof (TP) connector (female connector) compatible with the ActiveThree.

This PLETH Clip Sensor connects to the rear-panel 6-pin touch-proof (TP) socket (male connector) of the ActiveThree EEG system.

One PLETH Clip Sensor (ActiveThree) per pack.

Application Note

The clip sensor uses infrared light transmitted through the tissue and works best on fleshy areas such as the fingers. The signal's amplitude depends primarily on the blood volume in the capillary bed directly beneath the sensor, so it may be necessary to move the sensor around to find the best signal.

Ambient light may affect the output: if it does, a covering of black, opaque material over the sensor and location should remove such interference.

Do not immerse the device in fluids or handle the device by its cable.
