ERG-Jet electrodes, disposable gold-ring (sterilized) corneal lens electrode for ERG measurements. The electrode has a 12mm diameter, 100cm connection cable, DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) sockets (female). 12 ERG-Jet electrodes per pack.
These ERG-Jet electrodes come in form of a contact lens which allows for ERG (Electroretinogram) recordings. ERG-Jet electrodes are made of a disposable gold-ring (sterilized, single-use only) corneal lens. The contact lens itself which holds the gold ring electrode is concave-shaped and has a diameter of 12mm. The ERG-Jet contact lens electrode comes pre-assembled with a 100cm connection cable that terminates in a DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) connector.
The ERG-Jet is used to support diagnostic systems for anomalies of the eye by transmitting the retinal electrical signal. ERG-Jet electrodes can also be used for veterinary applications thanks to their simplicity and small size.
12 ERG-Jet electrodes per pack.
Technical Specifications
- Diameter: 12mm
- Weight: 1.5g
- Electrical Resistance: ~12Ohm
- Wire length: 1000mm
- Radius of curvature: 7.90mm
- Connection: DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) socket (female)
- Packaging: 12 ERG-Jet electrodes per pack
Application Note
- Anesthetize the cornea. Hold the concave surface of the ERG-Jet lens upwards and fill it to slightly below the rim with a 2-3% sterile methylcellulose solution.
- Set ERG-Jet lens onto the cornea by the same procedure used for a conventional contact lens. First, lift the patient’s upper lid and have him/her look slightly downwards. Gently rest the lens' front edge (with the concave surface upwards) on the lower lid, then tilt the lens backwards onto the cornea.
- Attach the connection wire to the patient’s face.
- To remove the lens, pull the upper eyelid upwards, then pull the lead wire gently upwards to lift the lower edge of the lens out of the eye.
