ERG-Thread electrodes, disposable thin nylon-silver thread (sterilized) for ERG measurements. The silver thread wire is 65mm long, 100cm connection cable, DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) sockets (female). 20 ERG-Thread electrodes per pack.

These ERG-Thread electrodes come in form of a thin wire which allows for ERG (Electroretinogram) recordings from the cornea. This thin ERG-Thread wire is made of a nylon-silver thread which is sterilized (single-use only) and which has a length of 65mm. The ERG-Thread electrode comes pre-assembled with a 100cm connection cable that terminates in a DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) socket (female connector).

The ERG-Jet is used to support diagnostic systems for anomalies of the eye by transmitting the retinal electrical signal. ERG-Jet electrodes can also be used for ffERG, mfERG, PERG or veterinary applications.

ERG-Thread electrodes are also commonly referred to as DTL (Dawson, Trick, and Litzkow) electrodes.

20 ERG-Thread electrodes per box.

Application Note

  1. Open the package containing the ERG-Thread electrode.
  2. Apply topical cornea anesthesia if necessary.
  3. Remove the two sticky patches and attach the end patch containing the connection wire onto the temporal side of the eye. Drape the connection wire over the subject's ear.
  4. Ask the subject to look up and slightly pull down their lower eyelid.
  5. Drape the fiber over the eye just above the lid, making sure as much of the fiber as possible is in contact with the eye.
  6. Release the eyelid. The fiber should now be either slightly behind the lid or just at the top of the lower lid in contact with the eye. You may need to perform this step again until the fiber sits correctly.
  7. Stick the other sticky pad onto the nose near the eye.
  8. Check that the fiber is not too tight by asking the subject if the electrode sits comfortably. After several minutes, the subject won't notice it being in the eye anymore. If in doubt move the external sticky pad slightly nearer to the eye to reduce tension.
  9. Connect the cable to your biosignal amplifier.
