Wet Ground Strap Electrode with Cable

This Ground Strap Electrode has a velcro strap for proper fixation of the ground strap. The ground strap's inside contains a felt pad that must be soaked with a saline solution such as water (containing salt) or electrolyte gel before use. The width of the strap itself is 2cm and is available in two different lengths: 25cm and 55cm. Ground straps have a blue strap.

Ground straps are available in various lengths whereby the length refers to the length of the entire strap:

• 25cm length (entire strap) x 2.0cm width; 12cm felt pad length
• 55cm length (entire strap) x 2.0cm width; 18cm felt pad length

This ground strap electrode comes assembled with a connection cable. The cable length is 1.5m and terminates in a DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) socket (female connector).

Ground strap electrodes are commonly used in EMG, EP, and EEG examinations.

Direction for use

1. Remove the ground strap electrode from packaging.
2. Prepare saline solution such as salt water or electrolyte (conductive) gel.
3. Soak the felt pad of the ground strap electrode in a saline solution. Do not soak the entire ground strap electrode but leave 2cm of felt pad near the connection cable dry!
4. Wait 2-3 minutes for the felt pad to completely soak with the saline solution.
5. Remove the ground strap electrode from the saline solution.
6. Strap the ground strap electrode to the subject's wrist, ankle or other desired location.
7. Remove the ground strap electrode after its application and let it dry.
