Plastic Earclip Electrode, 100cm cable, DIN touch-proof (TP) 1.5mm socket. 10mm sensor diameter. Two Plastic Earclip Electrodes per pack. Available with Ag/AgCl, AgCl sintered, Tin and Gold contacts.

These Plastic Earclip Electrodes are versatile and multi-compatible earclip electrodes for EEG, EP, BCI and other biosignal acquisition applications. The Plastic Earclip Electrode itself comes attached to a 100cm cable and terminates in a DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) socket (female connector). This connector can be connected to almost any EEG amplifier with touch-proof connectors. Typically used as "linked-ears" (LE) reference electrodes.

This Plastic Earclip Electrode is available with different tip contact materials:

  • Ag/AgCl
  • AgCl sintered
  • Tin
  • Gold

When selecting the contact material, make sure that the contact material of the earclip electrodes and the contact material of your EEG surface electrodes are the same. Different contact materials will introduce unwanted drifts and noise due to differences in the galvanic series.

2 Plastic Earclip Electrodes per pack.

Features

The weight of these Earclip Electrodes is ~16g (depending on the chosen material of the tip the weight might slightly vary). The size of the Earclip Electrode is 34mm (length) x 12mm (width) and electrode contact has a diameter of 10mm.

Application Notes

  1. Clean and degrease the skin before placing the electrode on the skin. Use appropriate skin prep paste to lower impedance.
  2. Next, remove residues of prep paste with a damp cotton ball or gauze.
  3. Apply a thin layer of conductive gel and clip the electrode onto the ear with sufficient skin contact.
  4. Place the O-Ring in one of the three positions allowed, depending on the thickness of the ear.
  5. Connect the Plastic Earclip Electrodes to the biosignal amplifier equipment.

Note: After each use, clean the electrode with a damp cloth and mild detergent, making sure not to immerse the electrode in the cleaning solution. Then, carefully wipe with a suitable disinfectant.
