Disposable Teflon Coated Monopolar EMG Needle with cable, 76cm cable lenth, terminates in a DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) socket. Different needle diameters and lengths available, 25 needles per pack.

These monopolar EMG needles are coated with Teflon, individually packed, and sterilized for single-use only (disposable). Disposable Teflon Coated Monopolar EMG Needles come pre-assembled with a 76cm (30 inch) connection cable with terminates in a DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) socket (female connector). The needle itself feeds into an ergonomic and lightweight handle grip. These monopolar Teflon EMG needles come in different needle lengths and diameters (recording area):

  • 25mm length x 0.28mm2 recording area (colour: Red)
  • 37mm length x 0.28mm2 recording area (colour: Green)
  • 37mm length x 0.34mm2 recording area (colour: Orange)
  • 50mm length x 0.34mm2 recording area (colour: Blue)

 

Monopolar needles with a recording area of 0.28mm2 have a needle diameter of 0.35mm; monopolar needles with a recording area of 0.34mm2 have a needle diameter of 0.45mm.

Disposable Teflon Coated Monopolar EMG Needles are used for recording muscle activity / Electromyography (EMG) applications where noise-free recordings are desired.

The Teflon (Polytetrafluorethylen) coating covers the entire needle electrode up to the tip.

Application Notes

  • Do not use EMG needle if the pouch is damaged.
  • Open the pouch and remove the EMG needle from the sterile pouch.
  • Connect the EMD needle connector to the EMG equipment.
  • Remove the needle sheath.
  • Introduce the needle into the area to be tested. Insert the needle up to the hub.
  • Do not straighten or re-insert if the needle bends before, during, or after insertion. Discard and replace with a new needle.
  • After the use dispose of the EMG needle according to standard protocols or alternatively put the needle in approved biohazard sharps containers.
