Ear Electrode Drops - 3.5" lead wire (for Electro-Caps)

These earclip electrode drops (E5-9S DROPS) from ECI (Electro-Cap International) are made with pure tin cup electrodes. They come attached to a 3.5" (8.9 cm) lead wire and terminate in a DIN 1.5mm touch-proof (TP) socket (female connector). The plastic spring-clip back is used to hold the electrode in place and allows for additional patient comfort. These earclip electrode drops have a cup sizes of 9mm (diameter).

These earclip electrodes are commonly used with ECI's Lexicor EEG caps. Lexicor EEG caps come equipped with dropped wires for connector earclip electrodes where these earclip electrodes plug into.

One pair of pure tin cup earclip electrode drops (one red and one white) per pack.

Application Note

Ear Electrode Drops are designed to be plugged into the dropped wires on the Lexicor EEG cap from ECI (Electro-Cap).

Ensure the contact material of the earclip electrodes and the contact material of your EEG surface electrodes are the same. Different contact materials will introduce unwanted drifts and noise due to differences in the galvanic series.

Application Instructions

1. Clean and degrease the skin with appropriate skin prep paste to lower impedance.
2. Remove residues of prep paste with a damp cotton ball or gauze.
3. Clip earclip cup electrode to subject's earlobe.
4. With a plastic syringe, fill the earclip electrode with conductive ECI Electro-Gel.
5. Connect the Plastic Earclip Electrodes to the biosignal amplifier equipment.

Note: After each use, clean the electrode with a damp cloth and mild detergent, making sure not to immerse the electrode in the cleaning solution. Then, carefully wipe with a suitable disinfectant.
