ERGO Optical Cable Adaptor (ActiveTwo)

This ERGO Optical Cable Adaptor is specifically designed for connecting mains-driven devices (e.g., sensors, microphones, ...) to the AD-Box of the ActiveTwo EEG system from BioSemi. It comes with a 5m optical fibre cable. It is available with 1-channel or 2-channel inputs.

The ERGO optical cable adaptor ensures complete optical and galvanic isolation of mains-driven devices connected to the ActiveTwo. Examples of such mains-driven devices are microphones, audio outputs from a computer, and various sensors. Optical and galvanic isolation is crucial in EEG setups as it ensures noise-free biosignal data recordings and subject safety. Connecting mains-driven devices to the ActiveTwo will distort EEG data and pose a safety risk to your subjects.

The ERGO optical cable adaptor is available with 1- or 2-channel inputs. Please make sure to match the number of channels with the number of available ERGO inputs on your ActiveTwo's AD-box.

ERGO optical cable adaptors are a great low-cost alternative to the AIB (analog input box) for setups requiring 1 or 2 analog input channels, or higher sampling rates are required. ERGO optical cable adaptors sample up to 16kHz no matter the selected speedmode with a dynamic range of 60dB. The input range is +/- 2V.

• For signals below 10mV we recommend opting for an AIB instead.
